I love to write, even more than I love to read. Where else can you create your own universe, have a rip-roaring adventure, a hot love affair, tie it all up in a nice bow at the end, and never leave the safety and comfort of your own home?

Building the world/galaxy for the space ship Orion and all her crew and passengers has been an absolute hoot. It all began in a comfy chair in my living room, here in the Pacific Northwest ...

I knew I wanted to get my writing published, but how to begin? I had read several wonderful stories from Samhain Publishing. So, when I saw the ad for submissions on their web page, something more than the computer clicked! The editors were doing a call for 'shape shifter' stories. A shape shifter had been prowling in the back of my fertile brain for a while - a smokin' hot alpha male that made me blush to think of bringing him out in public, for everyone to see. But, I pulled up my big girl panties and got to work. This was it - the perfect chance to see if I had what it takes to be a real writer.

Hmm, how to present him? The more I thought about this handsome, urbane man who shifted to a snarling, barely civilized big cat/man when in his mating mode, the more I believed he was, had to be from another planet where his, er, dominant style of mating would be not only acceptable to females, but highly desirable. So my shifter became Jag, a Tyger from the planet Bryght. And his story became 'Tyger, Tyger, Burning Bryght'. Jag is the navigator for the spaceship Orion, but under the influence of his mating moons, he's helpless against his primal urge to mate. Young, innocent Calla Fellura can save the ship and everyone on it, but only if she submits to a big cat. Mrrrow!

Before I knew it, I was writing 'The Orion Series' - because 'Tyger, Tyger' was so much fun and received such a great response from readers - you raced it to the top of the bestseller chart on MyBookStore&More - thanks! I knew I couldn't stop there.

Book 2 in The Orion Series, 'Her Commander', is the hot romance of Captain Steve Craig and Tessa Alligon, a cadet in the ship guard. Available from Samhain now, readers took it to the top 5 on the bestseller list the first week - thanks again!

But wait, there's more! as they say on TV - grin. I'm writing Book 3 of The Orion Series. If you thought 'Tyger' and 'Her Commander' smoked ... hold onto your fire-proof panties, cadets, 'cause another shape shifter is loose on the Orion, and he's after Sirena, the gorgeous, lethal commander of the Serpentian ships guard. She can kill with one blow of her long legs, but can even she handle an alpha male who shifts into something really dangerous when he's riled?
